Dreadtober 2018 - House Vyronii Armigers livery on!

Dreadtober is upon us, which means it's time to paint some giant stompy death machines! None of my current Heresy projects include any dreadnoughts so instead I'm working up a quartet of Armigers to mill about the feet of the Knight Lancer I'd done a few months back. It's been a rough week recently so I've been remiss on getting stuff posted and updated on the Dreadtober page but the always awesome Todd Sherman has been keeping a hand on the rudder. Big thanks to him for keeping the ball rolling in my absence!

To begin with all the metal areas were given a pass with Vallejo Gunmetal, drybrushed with Chainmail, then given an Army Painter Strong Tone wash, which gives it an oily, dirty metal look.

Next up was blocking in the House Vyronii livery, which is an emerald green and white. I didn't want to paint each one identically, so they each got a bit of a half-and-half pattern that ties them together color-wise but keeps them individualist which I think suits the knightly order vibe.

Next up was the gold trim and cleanup of the areas where the livery got out of hand. They're starting to come together nicely! Now on to all the fiddly detail work and basing prior to the initial sealant pass step. Once that's done I can do the waterslides and weathering - So far, so good!

Heresy Era Word Bearers - Argel Tal built!

All of the various bits and kits I'd ordered to build Argel Tal finally arrived and I could get cracking on attempting to get a model that's been rattling around in my head for years out on to the tabletop!

Vargheist wings, some custodes weapons, a possessed arm and a torso from the FW Gal Vorbak kit were laid out and dry fit to get a feel for what was going to need to be trimmed away - including the head to make way for one that more closely matches the description of a bestial face in the books.

I was really jazzed by how the parts fit together - Had to trim down the wings a little and cut the two arms back from the shoulder a touch, but minimal greenstuffing was going to be required!

The wings are perhaps juuuust a touch too large, but I think it gives him a real sense of presence. I'd test-fit a set of Dark Eldar Scourge wings which definitely looked anemic compared to the bulk of the model, and Hive Tyrant wings would have been massive. These worked out about as well as I could ask for!

Tried to blend the wings into the pack and keep the organic look going, we'll see how it works out once I get some paint on him!

The intent in-game is to run him as a Praetor with a jump pack, artificer armor, iron halo, and a master-crafted paragon blade and bolter to represent the Custodes weaponry. Not a perfect fit, but I figure most heresy players wouldn't mind!

Dreadtober 2018 - House Vyronii Armigers complete!

More Dreadtober goodness this morning! It's been kind of nice having two projects going at the same time - When I get tired of the red and black of the Word Bearers I've been able to bounce over to the green and white of House Vyronii. ...But not any longer, as my pledge for Dreadtober 2018 is now complete!

First up are the Armiger Warglaves, all set for close-in work with their Melta weapons and close combat weapons.

And second are the Armiger Helverins, which are probably my favorite of the two varieties. Really dig the twin autocannon look!

All in all I'm really happy with them, they were a blast to build and a joy to paint. Now we'll see if I can actually get them on the tabletop at some point!

Head on over to http://dreadtober.blogspot.com/ for more Dreadtober goodness!

Heresy Era World Eaters - When life hands you lemons...

...BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!

The plan all along was to do a Shadow Crusade force with the Word Bearers, and as I'm working on Argel Tal, I was more or less obligated to do his battle buddy, Kharn!

Pretty jazzed with how he turned out, it makes perfect sense to use the commander of the force as the paint test model, right? ...Right?

Fairly straightforward paint scheme - Primered grey, followed by Vallejo Stonewall Grey and Ghost Grey drybrush over the armor followed by a 50/50 wash of Army Painter Dark Tone and Lahmian Medium. Once that dried I picked out some edges with Ghost Grey again, then went over the model and re-blacked in all the piping and metal in preparation for further colors. The blue is based on a 50/50 mix of Imperial Blue and Stonewall Grey (an excellent suggestion from the rockstar painter John Stiening), which turns into a great desaturated blue - Interestingly it looks much darker in the pics than it does in real live, likely a function of the white balancing. Still, I dig it!

Necromunda - Spyrers, Hired Guns, Hive Scum and Robots!

Howdy folks! Been having some issues getting new pics uploaded to my galleries, but finally got it sorted out and have a whole slew of new pics ready to go! After working on a ton of heresy stuff, I thought I'd take a breather and switch gear to do a mess of Necromunda models who have been lurking on the to-be-painted shelf for months, if not years. Buckle up for a couple weeks worth of painting!

First up is one of the oldest models that have been rattling around the Closet of Doom for decades, the Spyrer Patriarch! I essentially had to paint him in the green and yellow of the classic "Doc Ock" scheme, and I'm going to be hard-pressed not to refer to him as "Apothecary Cephalopod" now!

Figured I ought to take a quick snap of the whole hunt team. Part of me want to see if I can find the alternate poses for each of the four 'basic' spyrers and get them painted up as well!

Next up are a trio of Hired Guns from the recent Forge World releases, Grendl Grendlsen, Belladonna and Eyros Slagmyst. Really enjoyed painting them up, especially Grendl - Had to give him the classic House Mjolnir paint scheme!

As a contrast, I also painted up a trio of old hired guns from the original release back in the day - Biceps McSixpack, Frellin' Tom, and Ever-Ready Evan.

As a callback to a friend's old gang, Eats Bad Fungus the Ratskin Scout got a lick of paint. I always loved this model, it's by far my favorite of the Ratskin sculpts.

Similarly, as an homage to my dubby Dave's old Pit Slave gang, Dr. Whirlygig the Pit Slave Champion is ready to rampage through the underhive!

In other news, I love to trawl the interwebs for likeminded folks who enjoy the old Rogue Trader era minis and aesthetic, and ran across a fellow who had sculpted up some robots based on some art from the 1st edition rulebook. I had to get my mitts on a few!

They're scaled to fit on 40mm bases and I don't really have any use for them in 30k/40k, but they'll work really well as some counts-as Ambots for a planned Necromunda scenario in the near future!

More stuff to come shortly, as I work through the photo backlog!

Necromunda - House Cawdor gang painted!

More Necromunda today with the Brotherhood of the Benificent Creator, a House Cawdor gang! I really dig how GW has been tweaking the background and aesthetic of the various gangs, and House Cawdor is no exception. They really changed up the rag-tag look of the models, but still maintained some design cues with the old metals which I appreciate. They're definitely more emaciated and ragged overall and while my initial gut impression was less favorable, once I had them in-hand I have to say I did a 180 and absolutely adore them!

In a callback to my old metal gang from back in the day, the new version got a blue-and-yellow paint scheme which always pops nicely. I tried to ensure that each of the repeat poses got a mirror image color scheme (one got yellow pants and blue shirt and the other got blue pants and yellow shirt, for example).

The gang leader and champion are both just dripping with character, I love all the candles and scavenged equipment!

The idea that the members of House Cawdor saw soem art of the Adeptus Custodes and atempted to build guardian spears to emulate the guardians of the Emperor is really a nice touch, and I had to add four guys swinging around these unwieldy monstrosities!

On the other end of the scale I like having a few gunfighters in my gangs so several guys got a pair of pistols, a pistol and axe combo, and one brother with a scavenged autogun and a molotov cocktail, because you can't go wrong setting the unbelievers on fire, now can you?

Rooting around in the Closet of Doom I uncovered a pair of old metal Juves (still bummed that GW hasn't done any bespoke Juve models in the new sets), and was pleased to see they fit right in to the new aesthetic. Hoping the get them running through the underhive this coming weekend!

Kill Team - Elucidian Starstriders and Gellarpox Infected painted!

As soon as I saw the initial leaked pics of the Killteam:Rogue Trader set I knew I had to get my hands on it (and I'm in a similar boat with Blackstone Fortress), and over the last couple weeks I've been working my way through the dozens of models. Finally got them to a point where I could take some pics!

While I really wanted the box set for the Rogue Trader minis, I knew that if I didn't paint up the Nurgle dudes first I might not ever actually find the motivation to paint them. Don't get me wrong, they're beautiful, characterful sculpts but if I'm honest I don't much care for the Nurgle aesthetic. I'm a Tzeentch man at heart! Nevertheless, I held my nose, pulled out all the gribbly greens and yellows I had and got to work!

The set includes a ton of insects, slugs, bugs and nurglings! I really dug that every single one is different and they are quite characterful. I tried three separate green skintones across the various models which is more evident on the nurglings. It's subtle, but I think it helps them from being too same-y.

The three corrupted servitors are probably my favorite models from the Gellarpox side. A rather cool fusion of the Plaguebearer and Servitor look!

The four 'big guys' were entertaining, and you can really see the skin tone variations on them. Thoroughly disgusting models all around, and at the end I'll admit I had a pretty good time painting them.

Once the Gellarpox Infected were complete I could dig in to the models that got me interested in the box set in the first place, the Elucidian Starstriders! Thoroughly enjoyed painting each of the models in the set and I kinda wish there were more of 'em!

First up were the armsmen and I'll admit the color scheme sort of got away from me on 'em. I try to keep my colors to a three-set maximum, but after getting the red, white and blue down on the clothes and armor, I knew their weapons needed to pop, and they got yellow housings. Riotous, but perhaps befitting a Rogue Trader entourage - A group of folks not known for their restraint!

The other five models in the set are each a bit more individualist. The medicae got the contractually-obligated white labcoat and the tech-envoy got the usual -Martian red. The death cultist was done up in red and black (naturally) and the good boy got some armor to match the armsmen and a doberman color scheme. Finally the rogue trader herself got some Mardi Gras green/purple/yellow to help her stand out from the rest of the force a bit.

All in all this was a really fun bunch of models to paint up and I'm 100% looking forward to taking on the wider array of models coming out with Blackstone Fortress next week. Can't wait to get 'em in front of the painting servitor!

In other news, got my event tickets purchased for Adepticon, which mean that there's more heresy on the horizon now that I have a better idea of what I'll need to take with me to the event. In a slight change of pace I'll also be participating in the Necromunda campaign on Saturday out there, and am already scheming on what to take! Gonna be good times!

Heresy Era Word Bearers - Contemptors and Chaplains and Venators, oh my!

$

With the recent release of the Adepticon events registration, I was finally able to zero in on what I would need to get completed for the Word Bearers. I've got a Zone Mortalis game at 500 points and a big 3k game vs. Xenos, which should be interesting! In both cases I've decided I was going to continue the "Assault on Armatura" theme for my force and run a very infantry-heavy army. That said, there needs to be some anti-armor punch and you can't go wrong with a talon of Contemptors to do the punching.

While poking around on the Oldhammer site, I ran across some embiggened RT-era Dreadnoughts, which tripped my nostalgia trigger hard and I absolutely had to get a few. I'll be running them as a Contemptor Cortus talon armed with twin dreadnought close combat weapons each with a twin-linked bolter. Cheap and cheerful Str 10 mayhem!

I'm really jazzed by how they turned out, however after getting them painted I realized I never ordered any 60mm bases to match the rest of the force, so they're on hold until the package shows up from Secret Weapon...

While I was about it, I also got the Sicaran Venator more or less complete as well! I always loved this model, it's just such a mean-looking tank! It's rather fearsome on the tabletop as well, though in my experience the lascannons are superfluous as the main gun is an Ordnance weapon which generally precludes the ability to fire the sponsons. As the tank will take a lot of fire, having the extra weapons to soak up the inevitable 'weapon destroyed' results isn't a bad thing though!

While going over the lists, I realized I needed a 'vanilla' chaplain to fulfill the Word Bearers FOC requirements (in addition to the warlord, the force must include either a chaplain or champion), but rather than just use the Betrayal at Calth model as-is I figured I'd chop him up and make something a bit more unique! Kept the torso, cape and backpack, but gave him some alternate legs which changed the stance dramatically. Swapped the crozius over to the left hand, and pillaged the Thousand Sons sorcerer bits to come up with a warp flask and creepy hand. Your basic skull helmet is essential for any self-respecting chaplain, and he's ready to get painted up!

Speaking of, it's been a while since I updated the painting chart and am quite pleased to see how close to the finish line the force is. Well on track to get everything completed for Adepticon, and with it being almost entirely infantry it should hopefully be easy to transport!

Testing... Is this thing still on?

Rumors of my demise have been slightly exaggerated, and I must apologize for my absence over the last month. While it would be easy to offer up a litany of excuses, the main point is I've been remiss in keeping the blog up to date, and it's high time to rectify the situation - While I haven't been posting, I certainly haven't been inactive!

So over the next few days I'll be curating and updating a number of projects (as well as taking a lot of new pics as I'm finding several shots that look good on a phone screen are garbage on an actual monitor. Doh! First off will be one of my most anticipated recent releases, Blackstone Fortress!

Honestly the first 40k box set I've been excited about since Necromunda - Specialist Games, how I adore thee!

Gotta have the group shot first. While I liked the Rogue Trader and entourage that came with Kill Team, THIS is what a proper Rogue Trader group ought to look like with all the strange and esoteric members!

Gotta love stripey pants!

Possibly my favorite model of the bunch, I love the aesthetic and got a chuckle at the name-check nod to Lustram Locarno in the 1st edition Rogue Trader rulebook.

Gotta love a fat priest! Thoroughly enjoyed painting this guy's outrageous rainment.

Burn baby, buuuuuuurrrrrrnnnnn! Dig the model, though it's a bit overpowered in the game itself I'm finding...

"Beep boop. I am a completely normal Imperial Robot and not an abominable intelligence. No sir."

Perhaps the most characterful of the entourage, the ratling twins were a hoot to paint and are quite amusing in-game as well!

If I was only going to paint one Kroot, I basically HAD to paint him up like an archetypal farmyard chicken, right?

The Eldar Ranger was so stealthy it was only at this point that I realized the pic was way out of focus. Derp. Reshoots required!

Quite liked the shades-of-green cameleoline cloak, and took a crack at the Biel-Tan thorny vines thing with marginal success.

Really, really liked the traitor guardsmen, but was really disappointed to find out they didn't do full ten-man squads. Still, great new sculpts full of character!

The second seven got the reversed color schemes on pants and jackets, but it's sort of hard to tell. In game they're sorts of grabbed at random so they all end up hanging together aesthetically at least.

The two rogue psykers are simply exemplary models!

Who doesn't like beastmen? Well, a lot of people apparently but I for one miss having 'em in 40k and was jazzed to see 'em in the set!

The Negavolt Cultists are some very evocative models, and would love to see more of this sort of thing on the Dark Mechanicus side!

The Spindle Drones were a neat new addition to the mix, though it was at this point my cunning plan to trim the slotta bases off the models sort of bit me. Trimming and gluing them down to the new bases was fraught with danger!

Interestingly, the models I'm most proud of are the ones I was least excited about in the whole set. I did some experiments with washes and color modulation on these guys and really dug how they turned out!

All in all I thoroughly enjoyed painting all the models, and the game itself is a blast to play (though does require a bit of a time commitment)! Next up, diving headfirst back into the Heresy with a surprise shift in direction due to some late-breaking news...

Heresy Era Word Bearers and World Eaters - The Shadow Crusade kicks into high gear!

$

0
The Heresy train has no brakes, and over the last month I've not only been cranking out Blackstone Fortress and Necromunda models, but also feverishly working on my Shadow Crusade force of Word Bearers and World Eaters! The original intention was to take a Word Bearers primary detachment with some World Eater allies to Adepticon in March, but due to a misunderstanding of the event that I signed up for, it turns out that the Word Bearers are a no-go. Turns out the event I signed up for is actually intended to be a Great Crusade era event, which means that the heavily-corrupted Word Bearers I have are thematically inappropriate (as all that chaos-y nonsense didn't happen until later in the Heresy), but more to the point, they're all in the wrong livery which is, as we all know, really inexcusable. Nevertheless, I pulled out the force to snap a quick pic of where things stand (minus the dreads and Sicaran Venator as they're not fully done)!

While that set me back on my heels a bit, I'm not one to give up so easily. Suddenly what was going to be a little 500 point allied detachment of World Eaters is now slated to become a fully-realized 3000 point army, and I have less than three months to accomplish it. Eep! Nevertheless, I've set to with gusto and have the first two squads nearing completion.

Pretty jazzed with how they're coming along thus far, still gotta get some weathering and blood spatter on 'em, as well as buy and paint up enough bases for the expanded scope of the force. So much to do!

I've more or less settled on a list for Adepticon, though some further tweaking will no doubt occur. While I don't intend to take the Angriest Ron with me to the event (hence why the list is 400 points over in the chart above), I do plan on painting up both him and Lorgar for the now ridiculously-sized Shadow Crusade force. 7000 points combined isn't too much, right?

Necromunda - Brother Hameln of House Cawdor

$

Just a quick hit today - Among other projects on the painting table of late is some reinforcements for my House Cawdor gang in the form of Brother Hameln and his coterie of bomb rats!

These little critters are from Anvil Industries, and includes a little detonator hand for their erstwhile controller. Tons of character to the sculpts, I'll almost feel bad running them into harm's way!

Anvil also does some great rat swarm models, so I figured I couldn't go wrong with a few bases full for special scenarios. Hoping to get some games in over the upcoming weekend in preparation for a Necromunda event at Adepticon this year, pics to follow!

Heresy Era World Eaters - Tanks in progress and command squad built!

$
0
0
Cracking on with the World Eaters over the last few days, and got some decent progress on 'em! Part of the plan was to build a command squad to accompany Kharn in one of the two Dreadclaws, which was rather fun:

Tried to include a mix of weapons and poses, hard to go wrong with a couple dudes with power fists and plasma pistols though. Thought one of 'em ought to have a pair of lightning claws, and it was pretty much a given that I needed to include one guy with an eviscerator! Pretty happy with the contained aggression the standard bearer ended up with as well. They should be a hoot to paint!

On the other side of the coin I did run into a slight issue when painting the tanks. As I'd feared, the recipe that works pretty well on infantry doesn't translate perfectly to the large flat panels of the tanks, and the wash step got pretty streaky. For the most part I'm hoping to play it off as weathering, and once I got some of the detailing and spot colors on they're starting to look reasonable. There's still a fair bit of mud and grime that I'm going to be adding, which should help as well.

I always loved the old Proteus Land Raider, and even through it's not an assault vehicle it still finds its way into many of my armies. It just suits the heresy-era aesthetic so well! For the purposes of the force for adepticon it will likely not even carry any troops and just act as a battle tank, though depending on the mission the five-man missile launcher heavy support squad might catch a ride in it as needed.

Trying out a new Sicaran variant with this army and included an Arcus. Not sure how it'll perform on the tabletop but on paper it seems pretty fierce. It can carry numerous missile types making it capable of dealing with a number of different threats ranging from infantry to aircraft and pretty much everything in between. It's not cheap to buy all the various payloads but I'm thinking it'll likely be worth it!

...Or it'll be blown to scrap in turn one every game. One of the two. Heh.

Heresy Era Word Bearers - Army Complete!

$

0
Another army complete, and likely to be sold off without ever actually hitting the tabletop? Seems that way! The Word Bearers army that I'd initially planned for Adepticon proved to be thematically incompatible with the events that I'm participating in (hence the recent World Eaters). Nevertheless, in the background I have been chipping away at 'em and with the delivery and subsequent painting of some last remaining bases, the army is complete! Figure I'll let the pictures do the talking:

Argel Tal

Kor Phaeron and Erebus

Zardu Layak and his Blade Slaves

Legion Chaplain

Gal Vorbak

Cataphractii Terminators

Apothecarion Detachment

Cortus Contemptor Talon

Assault Squad

Tactical Squad

Ashen Circle

Sicaran Venator

The all important painting chart!

Pretty happy with how the army turned out, and am a little bummed that it won't get any table time at Adepticon. Such is life, however! They'll be going on the auction block soon enough to help fund the next project - What that may be remains to be seen, but there's a non-zero chance that it's going to be a return to the Benevolent Cult of the Four-Armed Emperor, if the recent upcoming release reveals are anything to go by...

Necromunda - Gang Plank and Guilder (Venator) gang ready for Adepticon!

$

Been plugging away on projects for Adepticon, and between World Eaters stuff I took some time and sorted out the Necromunda side of things!

One of the things that's been in the backlog for a while is an MDF "Gang Plank" from Prometheum Forge (available here: https://everylittlewar.com/products/gang-plank-event-tray). I'd picked up a couple a while back and other than having built them I hadn't done much. Busted out some nice bright colors and got to work!

It's a cool little magnetized tray that can hold the cards, dice and tokens for the game, and offers a nice way to display and transport the models between games. I've settled on taking my Guilder gang out to Adepticon, Count DeMonet and his cronies are ready to engage in some skullduggery and profit in the Underhive! From left to right (front) Harry the Hump, Minka the Ninker, Count DeMonet, Dr. Whirlygig, Biceps McSixpack, and Eats Bad Fungus. (back) Frellin' Tom, Brother Hameln and his Bomb Rats, and Mr. Hand.

Back to the World Eaters next, the deadline is bearing down worryingly quickly!

Heresy Era World Eaters - All about that base...

Work continues apace on the World Eaters force for Adepticon, and while I've been diligently beavering away in the background on a mess of models I haven't posted much in the way of pics as I'd been awaiting the delivery of all the bases. They finally arrived earlier this week and I was excited to get stuck in!

The original plan was to do a combined Word Bearers/World Eaters force all on the white marble Armatura bases, but after a couple test assemblies I really wasn't happy with the white-on-white look with the World Eaters. Sometimes what makes sense in your head in the planning stages just doesn't work out on the tabletop and you have to be flexible. New bases were ordered and I decided I'd go with a darker warm tone with them to set off against the cooler whites and blues of the Eaters of Worlds' armour. Busted out some paint stir sticks and tacked a whole mess of based down and got cracking!

Kept the dirt really dark and added in some sandstone to contrast, and then sprinkled on some static grass there and there to jazz them up a bit and add a little spot color to set off against the colors on the infantry. Once that dried I popped 'em all off the sticks and set to pinning and gluing up all the dudes.

Once everyone was glued in place I went through and blacked in all the base rims and gave them a penultimate sealant pass. Quite pleased already with how much better the models pop on the bases compared to the earlier white marble, where they all just sort of blended in as a big white blob!

Next up is adding some blood spatter and some chipping here and there and they'll be table-ready for Adepticon! In the home stretch now, just a trio of dreadnoughts and a Rhino to go - With the advent of the recent FAQ, there were some point cost drops in the force I had planned, so I have to come up with a few extra models and wargear here and there to make up the points. So far, so good!

Now that the bases have arrived I'm in the home stretch with the World Eaters force for Adepticon - All that remains is a trio of Contemptors of which I'm awaiting delivery! Had some time yesterday to break out the photo tent, brace yourselves for a tidal wave of pics!

The all-important painting chart!

Starting to get a  little anxious about the contemptors arriving (they're from a garage casster in the UK, so it's understood that they're being done in his spare time), so I'm scheming on someme alternate plans just in case they don't arrive in time for the con. Fingers crossed!

Armies & Legions & Hordes arrives on the scene!

A little while back the tremendously talented Dave Taylor made a Kickstarter for his book "Armies & Legions & Hordes" and I immediately chipped in, knowing that it was going to be something truly special. The Kickstarter was a success, the book arrived earlier this week and it is absolutely fantastic!

It came in a beautiful slipcase and in general size and shape reminds me of the awesome Imperial Armour books from Forge World, always a good comparison!

The book spools through Dave's history with gaming and offers a ton of insight into his time working in the hobby, all of which is fascinating. Accompanying this glimpse into the process are a metric TON of fantastic photos of his work throughout the years, many of which have graced the pages of White Dwarf, Wargames Illustrated and more!

It's not all GW stuff either, Dave has explored many other systems and the book is chock full of beautiful miniatures from other games such as Dark Age, Bolt Action, etc.!

It also has a ton of insight into how he approaches all the crazy and wonderful conversions he's done over the years including the Genswick Rifles, his stunning Army of Morr and many more. Many Morr?

The book also includes several articles from other folks from around the hobby adding their insights into various aspects of wargaming goodness, and I'm quite humbled and honored to have been able to contribute some of my inane ramblings to the book - The painting chart that I'm so fond of using made its way into the pages alongside articles from some of the true giants of the hobby. So cool!

If you didn't get a chance to pick up a copy as part of the Kickstarter, as I understand it plans are afoot to get the book out into the wild for public ordering. As I find out more I'll be sure to get the info out to you all - It is a tremendous book from a tremendous chap, and I cannot recommend it highly enough! Cheers, Dave!

Blackstone Fortress/Necromunda - The Ambull Arrives!

Just a quick hit this morning - Swung by the local GW shop yesterday for some odds and ends and had to pick up the new Ambull model for Blackstone Fortress! I happen to have one of the old original Ambulls (it's one of the few models that I have kept from 30 years of hobbying) and was really jazzed to see them give it an updated model!

I guess 30 years underground means the Ambull got HUGE! The intention is to use him in Necromunda, as part of the upcoming campaign - With the knowledge that the Am-Bot should be released soon, I have a vision of doing a little pit fight scenario with beast vs. machine!

The original model came out in 1988 and cost about six bucks at the time. The new one was sixty bucks, but for a hit of nostalgia like this, I gladly paid it. To be fair, the new kit comes with a few other gribbly critters and a whole mess of add-on cards and adventure potential for Blackstone Fortress, quite looking forward to giving it a try in that game as well!
